Life Story:

Tom lost a mate at the 2010 Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships.

Before the 2010 Australian Championships Tom and Saxon made a pact to train all through winter to make the elite Nutrigrain Iron Man Series.

This is for you Saxon. You were one of the greatest competitors  to race on the ocean.

So many great memories mate.

Tom was born in Bega 2 September 1985. He moved to Forster NSW in 1989 where he learnt to surf at Tuncury breakwall.

He attended the Little Beaver preschool in Forster and his primary school years at Holy Name Forster. Years 7 to 10 were completed at St Claire’s High School in Taree and finished his secondary education at Tuncurry Senior Campus.

Tom attended Newcastle University for 2 years and completed the Bachelor of Business at UTS in Sydney.

He has currently completed ¾ of the CPA units for entry into the CPA.

Tom was a member of Cape Hawke SLSC in Forster where he won several State Medals. He later moved to Queenscliff SLSC when he was 16 and has competed with this great club since.

He has spent his life training with his two brothers Ben and Michael on the ocean, in the lake and pool at Forster. From an early age the boys would be out surfing and honing the board skills. The three brothers are accomplished board paddlers and have taken the open silver medal at the 2008 Australian Surf Life Saving championships in Perth. Toms sister Elle is also following in the brothers footsteps in the surf.

Tom is a current member of the Surf Lifesaving NSW High Performance squad. Over the years he has been granted selection in numerous representative teams for both New South Wales and Sydney Northern Beaches and Lower North Coast Branch.

He has represented NSW in 2003 while a member of the Cape Hawke SLSC and 2008, 2009 as a memer of the Queenscliff SLSC and will be striving for a 2010 position.

The board and ski legs are his strengths which the team selection have been based around. Whist completing for NSW he has toured to:

• Tasmania
• Perth
• Collaroy

Tom has represented Sydney Northern Beaches (SNB) in 2003, 2008, 2009 and has been nominated as team captain for 2010. His objective will be to lead SNB to a state victory which will be conducted on the central coast of NSW in December.

Tom is a Sydney based resident and current active member of Queenscliff Surf Life Saving club. Tom has been involved with Queenscliff since aged 16 and recently hosted the annual presentation during the winter offseason.
